Leave Your Legacy (Paver) at EFSC

Since 1960, Eastern Florida State College has left a legacy of over 125,000 alumni (including this author), instilling in them the education, experience, and confidence to pursue their professional goals and positively impact their communities.

The EFSC Foundation’s legacy pavers program is one of many ways for those alumni (and others) to commemorate their history with EFSC (not to mention the teachers, staff, and education that got them to where they are today).

As graduation approaches and you ask yourself what kind of legacy you want to leave, here’s everything you need to know about immortalizing your EFSC legacy with a paver of your own:

Who Can Purchase a Legacy Paver?

Anyone can purchase a legacy paver, but they’re created with EFSC students and alumni in mind. You can purchase one for yourself, your business, your club, or someone else — a sibling, friend, parent, or spouse, for example.

What Sizes Do Legacy Pavers Come In?

Legacy pavers come in three different sizes, depending on how many lines and characters (including punctuation) you wish to use:

  • 4×8 inches: Three lines of text (up to 14 characters per line)
  • 6×6 inches: Four lines of text (up to eight characters per line)
  • 6×9 inches: Four lines of text (up to 14 characters per line)

Where Are Legacy Pavers Placed?

Right in the heart of EFSC’s largest campus in Melbourne! You’ll find the engraved pavers in the courtyard surrounding the Student Union (Building 16).

When’s the Best Time To Buy a Legacy Paver?

While there’s no such thing as a bad time, there are advantages to purchasing one around commencement. Graduating EFSC students receive a 50% discount in the year they graduate!

How Do I Buy a Legacy Paver?

You can order a paver using EFSC’s secure online system. The ordering system includes close-up paver images and more details about the size options.

Why Should I Buy a Legacy Paver?

There are several reasons why you should purchase a legacy paver! Here are just a few:

  1. All proceeds from the legacy pavers go toward student scholarships and other EFSC initiatives. When you leave your legacy, you’re helping others to leave theirs.
  2. It helps you take pride in your accomplishments! You worked hard to get where you are, so why not celebrate? Legacy pavers are a physical way to show your connection to Eastern Florida and the impact you wish to leave on your community (and beyond) in the future.
  3. You can celebrate someone you love by buying them a legacy paver. A personalized paver makes for a thoughtful and unique graduation gift!
  4. Wherever you ultimately go after college, you’re leaving a memento of yourself at your alma mater, EFSC.
